Fisher HP Valve

Fisher's HP Series control valves are single-seat valves designed specifically for high-pressure applications. Available in both globe and angle body configurations, they feature metal seats and cage guiding, utilizing a plug action that closes by pressing downward. These valves are frequently employed in industries such as power generation, oil and gas extraction, chemical processing, and petroleum refining whenever high-pressure operating conditions are encountered.

Is the valve plug stable?
Supported by a robust cage-guided structure, vibration and mechanical noise are naturally suppressed.

Can it withstand full pressure drop conditions?
The HP Series features an inherently rugged structure; it handles full pressure drop conditions directly-no problem at all.

What ensures the seal?
Spiral-wound gaskets provide reliable sealing across a wide range of operating conditions. Standard configurations utilize N06600/graphite or N07750/graphite materials-a truly substantial and high-quality material selection.

Can it help save on piping costs?
HP valves in NPS 4 and 6 sizes now offer an optional expanded outlet (per ISA 75.08.05 or 06 long-pattern standards). What does this mean? It allows for direct connection to larger pipelines without the need for an intermediate reducer, saving both effort and money.

Is replacing internal parts a hassle?
Not at all. Disassembly and reassembly can be performed using common tools; no specialized tools are required.

Can the cage and seat ring be integrated?
Globe valves in sizes NPS 8 through 14, as well as NPS 12 angle valves, offer an optional integrated design. This simplifies maintenance and enhances shutoff sealing performance.

Are the internal parts wear-resistant?
Both the valve cage and plug come standard with hardened materials; exceptional durability is a fundamental feature.

Can pressure and temperature ratings be increased further?
HP valves equipped with welded ends allow for elevated pressure and temperature ratings-specifically, the "Intermediate Class" as defined in ASME B16.34. Because the valve body itself is constructed more robustly, it can exceed standard Class 900 or Class 1500 ratings. For globe valves in sizes NPS 8 through 12, an "Intermediate ANSI Class 3200" rating is available as a standard option.

Are the internal parts interchangeable?
Products such as Cavitrol III, Whisper Trim III, and WhisperFlo are fully interchangeable with standard internal components.
